South Bay Knitters Retreat

This past weekend was the annual knitting retreat for the South Bay Knitters of Campbell, Ca. and, as usual, it was a great time.  We meet every year the weekend after New Year's and always at the same place - The Quaker Center in the Santa Cruz mountains.  It's just our kind of spot; deep in the woods where it is misty, cold and damp, lots of moss all over the place, tall windows to take in the view and a roaring fire in the stove -- what more could a knitter ask for!  It's a great chance to visit with friends and admire their work.

Here's Barbara with her Clapotis:

The talented Chris Johnson in another Alice Starmore sweater:

Vivian brought some great projects:

This tam made from a Paton's pattern using Paton's wool.

This sock shawl made from various skeins of sock yarn:
Lisa modeled Diana's new cowl design, soon to be available on her web site:

Here's Gail with her IPAD giving a tutorial on Ravelry and Facebook:

And here's a picture of the whole gang!

  1. I am SOOO envious. One of these days (probably not until after Justin graduates from high school) I will go.

Let me know if you're still in the area -- coffee tomorrow?

  2. Nice post, Carol! It was great to see you.
